Italian Swears

Hello, all. I have a character who needs to let loose a few swear words in Italian for a scene. I'm looking for:

F---ing hell!
Damn/damn it.
Sh-t.

I've done some web browsing as well as Google-translating and it seems like porca putanna works for "f---ing hell" and merda works for "sh-t", but I wanted to double-check. I'm aware that porca putanna literally means something like "filthy pig whore", but if it's just used as an expletive and not directed at anyone, it works, right?

Please and thank you. :)
