Russian Wedding Band?

Setting: Modern Day
Main Characters: Russian male, mid-30s-mid 40s (raised in Russia, Switzerland, NY). Parents were diplomats. American Female, mid-30s.

I've been trying to find information on wedding traditions in Russia, specifically details on wedding bands. Are they worn on the left hand or right? Plain band or bridal set like most western countries?

I've done various Google searches and found yes to all of the above and no to all of the above. Most interesting item found is that rather than a plain band, a tri-band (3 interlocking bands) is worn. One site even said, a modern bridal set can be worn on the left hand, but the tri-band on the right.

Can anyone offer any clarity?
