Jewish Cemeteries in Lousiana and All Soul's Night

I'm familiar with the practice of white washing/gussying up the graves of departed loved ones but I wanted some clarification on whether this is strictly a Catholic/Christian practice or if Jewish families do it as well. I've searched "Jewish Cemeteries New Orleans All Soul's Night", "Jewish cemeteries whitewashing headstones" and similar. I've found a lot of info on Jewish cemeteries in Louisiana but nothing about this specific practice. I know it's for a Catholic and folkloric holiday but I wasn't sure how or if it bled into Jewish community practices in Louisiana due to proximity. I'm working on a story with a lapsed Jewish heroine and there's a brief part about Halloween and All Soul's night.
