Guard schedule on POW guard duty

First of all: Thanks to everyone who answered my questions regarding USAF reservists. You were a great help, all of you!

Now, today's question:

Time period: present day
Question: What's the usual protocoll for changing guards on prison duty (i.e. there's a prisoner of war who needs 24/7 guards in front of his door and during interrogations)? Is there a general schedule that's used in all military installations (i.e. every 3 hours for example) or is that left to the CO's judgment?

Previous research including search words like prison guard duty, change of guard etc. only revealed either statements that were too general or were only about how to go about guard duty, not about schedules. I'd be very happy if someone could help me out here :)
