Physical Therapy + Gunshot Wounds

So, I'm hoping you guys could help me out.

I'm planning on having Character A and B meet in a physical therapy office. Character A is a physical therapist, Character B is supposed to be referred there for treatment for a gunshot wound. So...my question is: What type(s) of gunshot wounds (including the damage they would inflict) would require physical therapy afterwards to regain full movement in whatever limb Character B ends up being shot in?

Only one bullet (fired from a handgun) actally hits Character B, and I want him to make a full recovery in about 2 or 3 months time (if possible. I'm still really flexible on the timeline, but around that would be nice).

Any websites or information you have on the subject would be wonderful! Thank you in advance!!
