Diminutives, Bulgarian and/or Russian?

I have a character who is male and a mix of Russian, Bulgarian, and British who was raised between Bulgaria and Britain, but went to school in Russia until e was about thirteen. He speaks all three languages fluently.

He is dating a girl named Elena who is Italian, but who went to the same school because her parents taught there. She also speaks Russian fluently and is learning Bulgarian. Her parents and brothers call her Lena, but I want a sort of diminutive nickname fr her my male character could use.

Either Bulgarian or Russian, for Lena or Elena.

I searched using Bulgarian diminutive, Russian diminutives, Russian patronymics, Bulgarian patronymics, Russian nicknames, and Bulgarian nicknames.
