Halley's Comet, Relative Visibility

Setting: London, 1910
Searched: "halley's comet", and the pertinent details, in many variations. Online newspaper articles of the time.

On what particular night did Halley's Comet first become visible to people in England that year? And how long did it stay within seeing range, to the naked eye? I've gotten a whole range of dates from late April to mid May, but not a set date for that specific location. Was there a night when it was at its peak brightness, or did it stay constant the whole time it was visible? Also, what was the light pollution like at the time?

Thanks in advance, y'all. With the way my plot looks, this certainly won't be the last time I ask for your help.
