Prison life in the south, during the fifties and early sixties.

Setting: Southern USA, sometime around 1950-1965 (I sadly cannot be more specific than that, as canon fails to state the exact location/date).

Question: I have a few questions in particular, but if anyone could provide me with a general source about prison life during this time that'd be much appreciated! Now then, the following is what I need to know the most...

1. When released from prison, were the former inmates provided with a temorary place to stay and/or a job -- or were they just left to fend for themselves?

2. Two men escape, but end up being caught. No one is hurt and they yield peacefully. How many years would be added to their sentence for this? (What information I've been able to find states that the punishment during this time differed from case to case, with nothing really set in stone. I'd still like to figure out a rough estimate, though... a year? five? ten?)

3. A follow-up to the previous question! If one of the men is black and the other is white, would there be a difference in their punishments?

Search terms: Various things like "prison life in the south", "fifties prison life", "punishment for escape attempt", "racial segregation in prison", etc. This site answered quite a few of my general questions about prison life and segregation during this time, but beyond that I haven't been able to find a whole lot.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Hi! First timer here!~ Some questions about Sweden

Here's the scene.

The fic is CWRPS, AU with two main characters that are huge metalheads. The only problem is, I'm not. I don't know really anything about metal, except that Sweden has an amazing metal scene. And that I learned from a freind in Sweden.

So could someone list of some bands from Sweden? Specifically because I need them for a conversation between the two main characters.

If you can, that would be amazing. Thank you guys all so much!
