1950 NYPD Salary

I have a character who's a police officer (regular officer) with the NYPD. In 1950, he'd have about twelve years' experience with the department, and I'm trying to find out how much money he would be making.

I've searched various strings along the lines of NYPD + history, NYPD + 1940s/1950s, NYPD/police/cop + salary/wage, 1950s/1940s + salary/wage, history + salary/wage, etc. I've managed to find current and 19th century NYPD salaries, sample incomes for other jobs in the late 40s/early 50s, and 1950s salaries for police officers in non-US countries, but nothing in the sweet spot yet.

It may be a long shot, but I'm hoping someone at least has a ballpark estimate.

ETA: I managed to turn up an estimate of about $2500 a year for a patrolman with the SJPD. If anyone happens to know whether the NYPD paid more or less than that at the time, please do chime in. Otherwise, I'll take this as a guideline.

(no subject)

I'm going to come right out and say this is for an RPG, and get that out of the way.

My question is this - according to Ohio State adoption law, can a borth mother get her baby back after the adoption? How long does she have to "revoke her consent" or start a process ending with getting the child back? What, as a general idea, would this process entail?

I've tried google, obviously, under variations on "adoption law", "ohio adoption law", and "can a birth mother get her baby back after the adoption" ad nauseam, but everything I turn up is very wishy washy. It's apparent that there IS a window, but that the length of that window varies from state to state. I've seen everything from 72 hours to two years, and I want to know specifically for Ohio.

Thanks in advance!
