British Asylums/long term care psychiatric hospitals

I think I can look up most things here and there but there's one question I'm not quite sure how to go about looking up.

When it comes to British mental facilities are the records all kept digitally or are they still typed out by typewriter so there's only the single copy that can be filed away to help preserve confidentiality?

I'm not quite sure how it is in the US, either, but certain hearsay around a building bought by Emory University recently converted to a campus (where I as studying) gave me the impression that evaluations are often manually typed.

Hope someone in or around the profession might know. Thanks! :)

Vietnamese character translation, English --> Vietnamese

This may be a bit odd . . . I'm actually doing a school project at college that involves a musical, and I need to know how to write "hope" in Vietnamese (the musical in question is Miss Saigon). Online translators galore have given me either "mong" or or "hy vọng," but I cannot find a translator that will give me the actual Vietnamese characters.

Anyone who can give me the characters in a script that is easy to draw (since I rather obviously do not know the Vietnamese alphabet or I could just do it myself), preferably a little bit enlarged (I have bad eyesight), will be my absolute hero.

(P.S. to eelpot: I haven't forgotten your offer to translate into Norwegian for me, and I really appreciate it--the scene in question just ended up getting bumped back by a chapter and I should have it done in the next couple of days.)

Recovery process from a gunshot to the hip

Hi all. I need some help with a gun shot wound recovery process. I have a tentative time-line, but I would appreciate if someone who actually knows something of trauma injuries to confirm me it is plausible. This is the central point of my story, therefore I need to plan everything, time-wise, around it.

When: Present day.
Where: Las Vegas.
What: Is my time-line of a gunshot recovery plausible?

queen victoria at paddington station, 1887

I come bearing more questions pertaining to the late Victorian era! I apologize for apparently being incapable of doing my own research.

Now, from what I can tell, Queen Victoria traveled by rail quite a bit, and used Paddington Station. Can anyone tell me precisely what happened when she arrived/departed Paddington? Did they shut down the entire station and have a little royal procession? (I found a vague reference to a red carpet somewhere.) Would bystanders have been allowed to watch? Presumably there would have been security--provided by whom? The Queen's Guard seem to be sentries for the residences, and not for the queen herself--so would it be the police, then? Or other members of the armed forces?

I've been able to find a lot of information about the Royal Train itself, and about Paddington Station itself, but nothing on what happens when you combine the two! If anyone can even point me in the right direction I'd be extremely grateful.
