Slang for gun violence in late 19th/early 20th century England.

Good day, all.

I've been researching slang and vernacular for late 19th/early 20th century England (which is how I came to find this community!), and I'm rather shocked to have found no slang dealing with the act of shooting and killing someone. Specifically, I have a scene where a sort of street urchin-y boy is talking in very crude and dismissive terms of shooting someone to be rid of him, and there doesn't seem to be any obvious term to replace "shoot" with.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
