After-school clubs in Japanese high schools

Setting: Modern-day Japan
Searches: I've read the articles on high school education in Japan on Wikipedia; Googled combinations of "after-school clubs" "japan" "high school" "clubs"

I've read some pretty interesting articles about the nature of clubs and the importance of them to Japanese students, but I have some specific questions that I couldn't find the answers to anywhere. I'm writing about beginning of a new school year, and in the first chapter, my main character starts high school. How soon after the start of the school year do clubs begin? The first day? Sometime in the first week? Is there a special week/day where clubs recruit new members? Secondly, if he wants to play soccer, does he need to try out in order to play on a sports team? He was on the soccer team in junior high school - would that make any difference? And finally, how often a week do sports teams meet? Would it be realistic to have my character have practice three times a week? Could it be more or less?

Yikes, that was a lot of questions! Thanks for any help! And happy New Year!

How many animal skins needed to make outfit

There's no way to practically research this, so I'll ask and hope someone has a good general idea:

Approximately how many adult Care Bears would you need to skin to turn their pelts into a woman's suit?

Edit: Thanks, everyone! I've got a good idea of what to go with now.

Edit the second: After researching the Care Bears themselves, I find that there's only six actual bears who are pink. *shakes fist at canon* Since it's a Harry Potter crossover, I'll use Engorgio to double the size of the available pelts.

Edit the third: And the fic everyone's been asking for!

Japanese phrase of endearment

Hello! I searched the memories and didn't see anything like this, so I figure I would ask here. I have a character who recently moved to USA from Japan, where he's lived his whole life. His dad is American (miltary) and his mom is Japanese, so he has a pretty good handle of both languages. In current USA, he gets himself a boyfriend that he's in love with. They're both in high school, though the Japanese one is younger by about a year. Here's my problem, I need some terms of endearment for him to say, in Japanese. Things like "I love you", "Be mine", "Don't leave me", "I will take care of you", "you're beautiful/sexy", and other popular phrases a guy might use to woo a lover. I would search online, but I know most online translators are miserable and I barely got through high school French so I know I couldn't teach myself Japanese! XD And I would love the kanji and the romanji, though the latter is more important than the former. Thank you for any help possible!
