First of all - and Google was not much help with this - I would like to know where to get a list of famous people of the 1890s, people who were alive and healthy and already famous during that era. In as many countries as possible, but mainly Britain, Europe, and America. Including kings, queens, and so on.
Secondly, I need a list of exclamations for the era, that a Lord and other wealthy people might say. The 1890s equivalents of "holy shit" and so on.
Some sites to find manners and stuff, particularly topics they "just [didn't] discuss" back then, or how they might discuss them if they had reason to. I need some sense of the kinds of things that would have caused a stir. Some of his inventions may be very controversial.
Basically, I need stuff about the 1890s.
Edit: Okay, now I have something to add. The story I made this post about is a planned sequel to another story I wrote, which I hadn't read for months and months. And, um... turns out it takes place in 1920. *Ducks*
