Snow in London

I have two characters in London and it's snowing. I understand this is rare enough and when there is snow it's not likely to be very much, which is perfectly fine. I'm just wondering, though, when is it most likely to be snowing in London? Google tells me that it's snowed as late as February in recent times, so is it possible that there might be a little bit right at the end of October (i.e. Hallowe'en?) or should I go for somewhere in between?
