Looking for the title of a Japanese folk tale about demons in a monastery

There's a story I want to refer to, and I think it's Japanese, but I can't remember the title. I've tried googling 'Japanese folk tale' along with various keywords from the plot, but no luck.

A man is leaving his home with his wife and two children with all their possessions on a handcart. After walking all day they come to a monastery and ask if they can stay there. The monks tell them they can, but warn them that there are demons there. The wife and children go to sleep while the man sits up with his sword, and over the course of the night he's visited by three demons. He fights and kills them all.

The next day he runs down into the village over the hill and shouts that he's slain demons. The villagers follow him back to the monastery that they know has been deserted for years, and there they find the man's wife and children lying dead on the ground.

Most of all I need to know the title, but if anyone knows of an online version somewhere that would also be useful.
