Pilgrims' Belongings?

I have an English family (ca 1650's) who leave the country and come to America (Maryland to be specific). I have gobs of information on England at the time and a good deal on early colonial America. What I'm looking for is information on the interim - specifically, what would they bring with them on the ship to America?

This is a well-off family with four/five children. I imagine they'd pack up the essentials - clothing, cookware/dinnerware, blankets, valuables/important documents - but what else would they bring/would be allowed to bring? Could they bring furniture? And what about servants? Would they come or could they be left behind in England?

This family is Catholic and is leaving to escape the political climate at the time. Would that have an impact on what they could/could not take with them?

As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated :)
