I'm writing a fictional comic series type of thing. I'm only beginning to figure out the plot. Anyhow...
I have a character, named Phlox.
His father (a demon-possessed dragon) raped his mother (a human), his mother was murdered during war, and he was found and raised by an adoptive family at the age of one year old.
His best friend is a girl (who originally found him) that's about 4 years older than he is. She's also his current love interest, although she doesn't know it. She's been away for six years at a temple and now very religious (a religion I made up thats mainly animistic).
I want Phlox to be evil like his father, not demon-possessed, but evil... like an anti-christ sort of figure. He needs to get this girl's attention and he needs to basically trick her into falling in love with him, tricking her into running away from home with him as well. I want him to basically shatter her mental/emotional state, get her pregnant and then make her so delusioned she kills one of her newborn children.
I tried wikipedia-ing all this, and I think emotional abuse can cause some damage, but I'm not sure what else would cause someone to go over the edge so to speak.
What could Phlox do that could possibly make a woman this... mentally unstable?
