Silly question, put under a cut 'cause it's graphic and such:
Say you are being accused of arson sometime in the 1920s. Everyone pretty much knows you're guilty. You know you're guilty. Your house has burned down, killing eleven people, and you are badly, badly burned. Do they wait until you've healed before they do the trial, or do they just wrap you in bandages, get it over with as quickly as possible, and whisk you away to heal in the hospital before you toddle off to meet your fate?
Is there anything else I should take into consideration?
Thank you so much.
